Obsessing over: how nicely all of my planting is coming along, and what project I want to do next.
Working on: nothing, because I am off work until AUGUST! Love being a teacher!
Thinking about: how sore I am going to be tomorrow from my first Yoga class ever.
Anticipating: our summer vacation, we leave next Monday…can’t wait to enjoy some southern culture, food, landscapes and of course the beach!
Can’t wait to join Tumblr world again. I should finally have some time now that I am off!
I love Garrett so, so much. I won the lottery with this man!
I changed it up a bit!
Obsessing Over: This last six weeks of school, I couldn’t be more ready. My kids stay with me for three years, everyone else gets new kids every year. I’m ready for some fresh faces to say the least.
Working on: The yard; trimming, planting, pulling, cleaning, mowing…ya know, getting it ready for summer fun!
Thinking about: How beautiful the weather has been lately
Anticipating: Again, summer!
Drinking: Eco-drink, its a vitamin powder you mix with water that I was suckered in to buying at Costco this weekend. Am I the only person like this…I feel so guilty if I take a sample and the distributer goes on and on about it, I feel like I have to buy it. Luckily, I really did like this drink!
GPOY after a week of this…
Seriously. Today is the first day that we all feel great. Garrett is off today and the rest of the week AND we all slept in past 8:00. It’s going to be a great day y’all!
Poor Sam got sick last Saturday and was sick through Wednesday. He got the worst stomach bug I have ever seen, plus an ear infection. We seriously could not clean up the throw up fast enough. He finally just laid down on the bathroom rug while we were cleaning his sheets and fell asleep there. He was done. Then of course I caught it, plus a terrible sinus infection. My head felt like it was going to explode.
Many doctor visits and medications later, we are on the mend and ready to enjoy this beautiful Spring Break weather! Here’s to health!
Obsessing over: the hand-me-down hope chest that my MIL brought over yesterday. Living room is complete!
Working on: lesson plans
Thinking about: that it is Monday and I am not at work. Thank you presidents!
Anticipating: SUMMER VACATION
Drinking: Snapple Iced tea
*This accurately describes how I feel about Mondays off, Mac and all.
Loving the Bob Marley tribute right now! I seriously left my heart in Jamaica. The people, the beaches, the feeling it gives you.
Planning our summer vacay is the only thing getting me through the winter. I just can’t stand it, even our mild Texas winters. We originally thought DC, but then decided that Sam just wasn’t quite old enough yet to really enjoy it like we would. So, plan B is doing a tour of the southern states. We will drive east to Louisiana, spend a night and day in New Orleans, then through Mississippi to check out some Civil War battle grounds and tour a few plantations. Next, we will drive to Gulf Shores, Alabama for a few days at the beach then last on to Florida for a day or so at Pensacola. I am really in love with this idea, we will get to see four states, get a little history and culture fix, eat a ton of seafood and get lots of beach time in!
Come on summer!
Ahh, I can’t believe I’m posting such unflattering pictures of myself tonight, but I get a kick out of them. Mouth hanging open, remote in hand, its ridiculous. These aren’t isolated incidents, people. Happens all the time!
Obsessing over: Rdio! Garrett purchased it and I love, love it!
Working on: prepping an IEP meeting I have next week
Thinking about: how much I love this beautiful spring-like weather we have been having lately
Anticipating: painting the living room!!! We found the paint color (after trying umpteen samples) and our neighbor is going to paint it next week!
Drinking: my breakfast (my daily protein shake of choice as of late is one scoop of light vanilla protein powder, frozen raspberries, OJ, and a teaspoon of sugar-free lemon jello powder). Very tasty!
And now how I feel about having Monday off…
Obsessing Over: Paint colors. We decided to just paint the living room since we are doing the entryway and hallway.
Working On: Billing Medicaid for students for the month of December
Thinking About: How I can’t believe I am back at work! First day back since Dec. 21! The single best thing about being a teacher.
Anticipating: Fredericksburg for a wine club members event in January!
Listening To: Randy Rogers Band
Drinking: Coffee, what else?!
Wishing: I was back in my cozy bed!
I received Christmas presents from all five of my students. I did not expect them, nor did I need anything from them. However, all of the gifts were greatly appreciated, especially the ones that they helped make or pick out. Anwway, I got an e-mail the next day from the parent of one of my students, it started like this “I’m afraid we have a problem…” She went on to say that her child stole that present from under the Christmas tree, and it was in fact not meant for me. I was so embarassed and told her I would return it promptly when school resumed. Never a dull moment with my kiddos!
